Vallée Duhamel Studio Launch Video

Color Grading

I had the pleasure to work with the talented Julien Vallée & Eve Duhamel for the color grading of the promo video for their new studio launch. Vallée Duhamel is a design and direction studio that creates high class lo-fi, often handmade, images and videos. If you haven’t seen Julien Vallée’s unique work, be sure to check it out! He has worked for clients like Coca Cola, MTV, Google and The New York Times. Eve Duhamel’s work has been exhibited in galleries from Berlin, London UK, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.

The main grading challenge was to match each background to make cuts as seamless as possible. Even though we had to deliver the video very quickly I really like the final result. Slow motion is always fun to work with, especially when it’s shot by Jean-Philippe Bernier & Simon Duhamel! It’s a collaboration within a collaboration…
