Alex Nevsky – Set Pictures

I was on the set of Alex Nevsky’s music video “On leur a fait croire” directed by Mathieu Cyr & co-worker Gabriel Grenier a few of weeks ago and I took a couple of behind the scenes pictures. I love set photography. Seeing all these hard working people doing everything they can and being so creative with a tight budget  is always very inspiring. Everybody is so focused and when you catch them at the right moment, you get interesting pictures that I believe you can’t get anywhere but on a film set.

It was a 2 day shoot and they were filming in many locations. The first day consisted of shooting the green screen parts in a studio and all of the exterior night shots. The second was the best part; they were shooting inside a pool with a special underwater rig. When Gab told me about that, I tried to think of something cheap that I could find in my apartment that could allow me to take some decent underwater shots. So I opened the fridge and boom there it was: the vegetable drawer. It’s transparent, inexpensive (not counting the cost of the refrigerator itself…) and light. I looked kinda stupid when I showed up on set with my plastic drawer but… it worked!

Here’s the rig :

And here’s a selection from the series:

You can see more set photography I did on other shoots here.

I also graded the music video that I will post as soon as I get my hands on it!
